Why We Exist

The mission behind
the microphone.

The Wake Up X Solutions is not just a podcast. It is a stand against waiting on permission, and an invitation to build something that lasts.

"

Helping people create their own legacy, instead of watching and waiting on others to make this world a better place.

The Mission, by Efren L. Salazar

Our Mission

To bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world, connecting aspiring and entry level professionals with the CISOs, founders, and practitioners who have actually lived it. The best education comes from the right conversation at the right time, and we exist to create those conversations.

Our Vision

A cybersecurity community where no one breaks in alone, where the path from entry level to leadership is paved with mentorship and access, not just credentials. A connected, statewide California network linking Sacramento, the Bay Area, and Southern California.

Community First

Cybersecurity is a community effort, not just an IT problem. Through ISACA Sacramento, ISC2, and beyond, we are committed to closing the digital divide and creating real pathways into tech for underserved communities.

What We Cover

Four Pillars,
One Conversation.

01

Cybersecurity

AI in the SOC, identity, governance, threat intelligence, alert fatigue, and the evolving digital threat landscape.

02

Career Growth

Breaking into cyber, certifications versus experience, IT to InfoSec pivots, and the real state of the job market.

03

Business and AI

Small business strategy, AI adoption, closing the digital divide, and building something that lasts.

04

Empowerment

Mindset, mentorship, community, and the drive to show up even when starting from zero.

Who Tunes In

Built for those finding their way in.

From the newcomer studying for their first cert to the executive keeping pace with the threat landscape, this show meets people wherever they are on the path.
